Abstract
Road damage problem can affect the condition of the road pavement and even cause a decrease in the service life of the road, especially on the Demak Ring Road, so it is necessary to improve or maintain the road. This is because the traffic volume continues to increase and the Demak Ring Road is one part of the National Road in Central Java. This study aims to assess the condition of the pavement and predict the remaining service life of the pavement using the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. This study begins with the division of segments based on visually varying road pavement conditions and then analyzes the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) value obtained from the National Road Implementation Center (BBPJN) VII Central Java and Yogyakarta. The results showed that on the Demak Ring Road there is one segment that has poor conditions, namely segment 2, segments 1 and 6 have fair conditions, segments 3, 5, and 7 have satisfactory conditions, and segment 4 has a good condition. Prediction of the remaining service life on the Demak Ring Road segment has a remaining service life of under 1 year, namely segment 2 of 0.53 years and there are road segments that have a remaining service life more than 1 years, namely segments 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7.
