Abstract

In 1998, Krauss-Maffei took over Fahr Bucher Service GmbH, Gottmadingen, Germany, with all world-wide rights to all Fahr Bucher patents and development work. Krauss-Maffei produces about 70-80 thermosetting polymer machines annually, about 5% of the entire injection molding machine business of the enterprises. In the automobile and electro-technology ranges of application, there are many customers who process both thermoplastics and thermosetting polymers. The entire spectrum of the Krauss-Maffei injection molding machines for processing crosslinked plastics was presented at the Krauss-Maffei Kunststofftechnik's Duroplast Forum in Munich, Germany. There was also a 20-lecture symposium presenting a cross section of the thermosetting polymer technology.
