Dermatitis atópica

Abstract

Atopic dermatitis is an inflammatory disease of the skin with a chronic and recurrent evolution. Pruritus is the main symptom of this disease that is frequently associated with asthma, rinitis, and food allergy. Atopic dermatitis prevalence is increasing in western countries. Chronic evolution of the disease can affect the quality of life of the patients and their families. Both must be implicated in the daily follow up therapy and to know the outbreak treatment. We review the update of the treatment and the indications specialist consultation.
