Abstract

This research explores the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing historical short story writing to improve students' literacy and creativity. A qualitative research method with a case study approach was used, collecting data through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that AI is highly beneficial in writing historical short stories by providing quick access to historical facts, assisting in plot and character development, and improving the quality of writing through grammar and style checks. AI also supports students' creativity by offering fresh ideas and overcoming creative blocks. However, challenges like unequal access to technology and over-reliance on AI still exist. The research concludes that while AI can enrich the learning experience by making history education more engaging and interactive, human guidance remains essential for the optimal development of students.   Keywords: Historical Literacy, Short Stories, Artificial Intelligence.
