Abstract

The information about requirements to lithium as a coolant and working medium of the IFMIF neutron target is given. Some research results relating to purification of lithium from impurities and determination of their concentration, which demonstrate possibilities of fulfilling the IFMIF requirements, are presented. © 2008 IOP Publishing Ltd.
