Abstract
Industrial development has brought both benefits and dangers to our society. According to the World Health Organization, one of these dangers is air pollution, a silent killer that claims the lives of seven million people a year. Studies even reveal a positive relationship between the level of air pollution and the lethality of the symptoms caused by COVID-19. This situation has led people to pay greater attention to the air quality surrounding them. In the face of this urgent crisis, this study proposes an air quality monitoring system based on the Internet of Things. This technology not only facilitates low-cost solutions and an accessible collection and processing of data but also reassures the audience about its effectiveness in empowering individuals and communities to take immediate action. The data is then displayed on easy-to-understand digital dashboards, enhancing its impact on air quality management.
