Abstract

Introduction: The therapeutic relationship is considered a necessary condition for the effectiveness of nursing care, and the basic therapeutic instrument for the daily practice of Mental Health Nursing. The current culture of care, and the conception of the user as the protagonist of health/disease process, demonstrate the importance of the user's perspective in the development of the nurse-patient therapeutic relationship. Objectives: Identify the fundamental aspects to establish and strengthen a therapeutic relationship with nurse from the perspective of users of the community mental health service. Methodology: Qualitative study of phenomenological design.
