Abstract

Carbon capture in an organic cage: A shape-persistent, organic prismatic molecular cage (see structure) was synthesized in one step and high yield from readily accessible starting materials through dynamic covalent chemistry. The resulting cage molecule exhibited high selectivity for the adsorption of CO2 over N2 and thus shows promise as a carbon-capture material. Copyright © 2010 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
