Abstract

The educational profession is one of the compulsory subjects in the FKIP Sriwijaya University undergraduate curriculum. Learning resources are elements that are very necessary so that students have competence in becoming a teacher. Facts on the ground show that the learning resources provided are still conventional, so other digital-based learning resources are needed. One of the digital learning resources that is currently widely used is podcast. Podcast is medium audio-visual that can support the learning model blended learning used at Sriwijaya University. In this study, before carrying out the development process, the researcher will first conduct a model requirements analysis blended learning based podcast for learning the Educational Profession Course in the Chemistry Education Study Program. The purpose of this research is to analyze media needs podcast as a source of learning for the educational profession using qualitative methods. Qualitative research methods carried out by survey online to 41 students. The results of the study show that students need innovative and creative learning resources in the form of podcast packaged in a learning video.
