Abstract

Introduction: Productivity refers to the ability of individuals or a group of individuals to achieve predefined goals, encompassing both physical abilities and skills. Productivity holds great significance in enhancing competitiveness within the office environment. One variable believed to influence work productivity is the level of job stress and work motivation, reflecting a hazardous physical and emotional response that arises when individuals engage in tasks that do not align with their capabilities Objective: The objective of this research is to analyze the relationship between job stress and work motivation factors with work productivity Method: This study is an analytical observational research with a cross-sectional approach. The population under investigation comprises all Civil Servants at the Balai Besar Kekarantinaan Kesehatan Makassar. The research sample consists of 90 Civil Servants selected through Quota Sampling as the sampling method. The research tools employed include the Stress Diagnosis Survey questionnaire and Likert Scale. Statistical analysis is carried out using the Chi-Square test, with the alternative option of Fisher's Exact Test Result: The research results indicate a relationship between job stress (p=0.007<0.05) and increased employee productivity, while there is no significant relationship between work motivation (p=0.596>0.05) and increased employee productivity. Conclusion: The study concludes that there is a relationship between job stress and increased employee productivity, but there is no significant relationship between work motivation and increased employee productivity.
