Abstract
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) children have difficulty starting and finishing specific tasks on time because of impaired executive function. A prototype was developed to help children complete their routine daily tasks. A self-instruction strategy was employed in a conversational agent, which allows children to set up their own behavioral goals, recall and implement them, and check up on their progress. The purpose of this study is to explore whether the developed prototype is an appropriate tool for children. In an attempt to provide feedback on the developed application, a field test was conducted by five elementary school teachers in their private homes with their children with non-ADHD for eight days. Teachers participated in this study as observers and users and shared experiences. There is a plan for randomized controlled trials that will reflect the learnings from this study.
