Abstract

A new natural product named trolliamide was isolated from Trollius chinensis Bunge. Its structure was determined as 2-hydroxy-tetracosanoic acid(2,3-dihydroxy-1- hydroxymethyl-heptadec-7-enyl)-amide by spectroscopic methods, including UV, IR, MS and NMR. This is the first report of a ceramide isolated from Trollius chinensis. © 2010 by the authors.
