Abstract

We have performed ESR measurements on a single crystal of the spin crossover complex [MnIII(taa)]. Symmetry lowering due to the Jahn-Teller effect in the High spin state of [MnIII(taa)] is detected by the ESR measurements. From the analysis based on a spin Hamiltonian, we discuss the distortion in the molecular structure of [MnIII(taa)]. © 2010 IOP Publishing Ltd.
