Abstract

The present article analyzes the wind, light environment, and energy consumption of a specific residential unit layout, providing a basis for low-carbon interior design. With the aid of building information modeling and virtual reality (VR) technologies, architectural designers can identify potential environmental issues at an early stage. Furthermore, by simulating the effects of various design proposals, these technologies offer robust support for decision-making. Meanwhile, the incorporation of VR technology not only allows designers to conduct analyses on a two-dimensional plane but also immerses them in a virtual environment where they can experientially engage with the spatial characteristics of the building and its interaction with the surroundings.
