Reflexiones sobre la evolución de la economía agroalimentaria

Abstract

This note offers some personal thoughts about the elements which have influenced the developments of agro-food economics. United States deserves special attention because of its great importance over the rest of the world. There are mentions to several European countries. Spain occupies next section and there are some descriptions about elements which have been mainly affecting the development of agro-food economics research and little is written about education. Finally, there are some comments about present and future fundamentals which could condition the professional development of agro-food economics in Spain.
