Abstract

A plastic substrate-based dye-sensitized photoelectrode was fabricated with a thin mesoporous titania film prepared on a TiOx-coated indium tin oxide-polyethylene naphthalate (ITO-PEN) substrate by a low-temperature process. The 3.5 μm-thick titania film sensitized with an indoline dye (D205) yielded a power conversion efficiency of 5.2 %, with the internal quantum efficiency reaching 100 %. Powering-up: 3.5 μm-thick titania films sensitized with the indoline dye D205 yield a power conversion efficiency of 5.2 %, and an internal quantum efficiency of 100 %. © 2014 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
