Abstract

NMR spectrum in CCl//4 of the !-deuterated isotactic polymer prepared with Et//2Zn-H//2O catalyst has a symmetrical, sharp quarter assignable to a typical AB type quartet of methylene protons, at 5. 95, 6. 05, 6. 55, and 6. 65 tau. NMR spectrum of the corresponding nondeuterated polymer has three kinds of quartet at the region of 6. 0, 6. 6, and 7. 0 tau. The absorption band at the region of 7. 0 tau observed only in the nondeuterated polymer, therefore, can be assigned to the methine proton.
