Abstract

We present a case of incisional enteric mucocele formation 10 years following colostomy closure. The patient was admitted to the hospital with the symptoms of an abdominal wall mass lying on previously closed colostomy incision. Clinical presentation, diagnostic work up and pathology of the case were discussed. To our knowledge, this is the first abdominal wall mucocele after colostomy closure reported in the literature. © 2008 The Authors.
