Leaving them speechless: a case of anaesthesia‐induced mutism

Abstract

We present the case of a patient emerging from general anaesthesia who was found to be mute with other unexplained and unusual behaviour. We describe common factors between this case and those previously reported which may help our understanding of the possible aetiology behind this phenomenon.
