Abstract

The Exhaust manifold in the engines is an important component which has a considerable effect on the performance of the I.C engine. The exhaust system of an automobile consists of an exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, resonator & a muffler connected with tail pipe. Hot exhaust gas along with sound waves generated at the end of exhaust stroke is sent to the exhaust manifold through exhaust valve. The exhaust manifold operates under high temperature and pressure conditions. The design of exhaust manifold almost always has to be executed by trial and error through many experiments & analysis. In this paper we have to did numerical study by compare the result fluid analysis with conjugate heat transfer & thermal analysis with conjugate heat transfer using Abaqus software.
