Abstract

Carbon nanotube was synthesized in organic liquids carbon source by using La2NiO4 ceramics catalyst. The La2NiO 4 ceramics particles were deposited on a Si substrate by using electrophoretic deposition. The Si substrate supporting La2NiO 4 ceramics particles was dipped in liquied ethanol, and then DC power current was applied to the Si substrate. After this reaction process, carbon naotube was observed on the Si substrate. Next, various liquid organic compounds were applied as the carbon source for this method. All the organic compounds used in this study were effective for the synthesis of carbon material. However, the shape of the carbon material was depended on the kind of organic compound.
