Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the online learning experience of students with special needs in inclusive elementary schools in the covid-19 pandemic. This research is considered interesting because even though the whole world is being rocked by the covid-19 pandemic, education must continue to run well and each student still gets the learning experience that should be, including students with special needs. This research is a field research, with a qualitative approach and type of descriptive writing. For data collection, the authors use interview techniques and direct observation. The results of this study are students with special needs in inclusive elementary schools are given the opportunity to be able to understand the lessons, in a virtual classroom that is specifically provided by the teacher. Because some of the material provided by the teacher has not been modified according to the obstacles of the child. This is what makes children with special needs can try to learn through virtual classrooms google meet, obtain learning videos that can be accessed via youtube, to access material through google. Not only that, children with special needs can also operate the application whatsapp to communicate with teachers and classmates, both through chat and video calls.
