Abstract

The stability of flow in disperse solid-liquid systems is studied by means of a kinetic model. The regimes of flow, the domains of flow stability, and the relative velocity-concentration and the particle flux-concentration dependences are obtained. The parameters of the model are the maximum concentration, the coefficient of variation of the velocity distribution, and the cluster parameter. Support for the model is adduced from published experimental data. © 1988.
