Abstract

The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System has received reports of allergic reactions following immunization with eggfree recombinant influenza vaccine, among patients with a self-reported egg allergy or previous allergic reaction to inactivated influenza vaccine. These results suggest that allergic reactions following influenza vaccination are not necessarily related to egg proteins.
