Abstract

Formwork is a temporary structure which provides support, shape and strength for fresh concrete until it attains its strength. This study identifies the various types of formworks used in construction and analysis of the factors influencing formwork selection. Five construction sites were chosen with different usage and different data's are collected in all the sites. It includes cost, scrap value, time, productivity and quality this will help the contractor to choose the appropriate formwork for the construction work with minimum cost and time.
