Abstract
Freshly harvested eastorseeds extracted from the primary, secondary and tertiary racemes of three Brazilian cultivars, Guarani, Campinas and IAC-38, exhibited degrees of dormancy ranging from 9% to 66%. After nine months of storage in uncontrolled conditions at Campinas, State of São Paulo, all the seed types presented no dormancy, germination ranging from 83% to 97%. All the seed types stored well, in the harvesting and handling conditions studied, with germination percentages higher than 80% after 21 months storage
