Abstract

The pupil response of 15 male and female Ss was recorded to four visually presented words. Sex differences were found in the pupil response, particularly in regard to response magnitude. Analysis of the individual response showed wide differences, from extreme dilation (34.5%) to constriction (15.3%) to a particular stimulus with a particular S. © 1968, Psychonomic Journals.
