Abstract

This chapter describes the Italian Borsa Lavoro Lombardia (BLL) portal, an interoperable regional system connected to the Italian national labor market system and operating as a node to provide employment, training and education services in Lombardy. Discussed are BLL’s premises and aims, stakeholders, alignment with guidelines for Italian e-Government plans, subsystems, services, policies and operational guidelines. The historical evolution of this system is also analyzed considering key aspects such as political and strategic decisions, usage data, measurement of the main factors related to benefits and factors influencing website performance.
