Abstract

An examination is made of some of the taxonomies which have been proposed and the author illustrates how they can serve as useful structures for relating studies in user interface problems. The authors objective is to augment the power of these structures by developing their ability to take into account the effect of gestural and positional factors on the overall effect of the user interface.
