Abstract

The printability and the flow characteristics of offset inks, by examining the correlation between physical properties and our flow characteristic formula, we had clarified factors governing the fluidity of inks, and also the contribution ratios at the share rate range from low to high. Furthermore, we had revealed the factors which governed "mottling" phenomena at gravure inks. In this report, we have investigated the relationships between the printability and our flow characteristic formula for inkjet inks. Consequently, we have found that a modulus term(G) is the dominant factor for discharge properties. S m × η n × G p ・・・(1) (S:Yield term, η:Viscosity term, G:Modulus term and m+n+p =1)
