SELEÇÃO DE FORNECEDORES DE TECNOLOGIA DA INFORMAÇÃO: UM ESTUDO SOBRE OS PROCEDIMENTOS DE AVALIAÇÃO E CRITÉRIOS DE SELEÇÃO

Abstract

RESUMO No processo de seleção de fornecedores de serviços a avaliação de potenciais candidatos constitui tarefa das mais importantes, pois quando se avalia de forma inadequada podem-se comprometer os resultados e incorrer em custos não compatíveis. Em princípio, uma boa avaliação pode ser uma garantia de que a contratação será bem sucedida. Este trabalho verificou se as empresas adotam procedimentos diferenciados quando selecionam fornecedores de serviços de Tecnologia da informação (TI). Procurou-se identificar os procedimentos de avaliação e os critérios de seleção utilizados para a escolha de empresas fornecedoras de serviços de TI. Os resultados mostraram que, em função de peculiaridades das atividades de TI, o processo de seleção de fornecedores incorpora características específicas, sem contudo apresentar a sofisticação inicialmente esperada.ABSTRACT In the selection process of suppliers of services, the evaluation of potential candidates constitutes an important task, because when the evaluation is inadequately performed, the results are not good and it can be incurred incompatible costs. Theoretically, a good evaluation can be a warranty that the recruiting will be successful. This research verified if the companies adopt differentiated procedures when they select suppliers of services of Information Technology (IT). It tried to identify the evaluation procedures and the selection criteria used for the choice of companies that supply IT services. The results showed that, in function of peculiarities of IT activities, the selection process of suppliers incorporate specific characteristics, without however, to present the sophistication initially expected.
