Abstract

This review explores the current techniques of atrioventricular junction ablation, pacemaker prescription and implant, the role of anti-arrhythmic drugs, long-term outcomes, potential complications and adverse effects (including sudden cardiac death), and how these may be overcome, and examines the alternative strategies that are now available. © The Author 2008.
