Abstract

This paper is an attempt to explore the concept of heteronormativity through its application in Em and the Big Hoom written by Jerry Pinto. Heteronormativity’s abstract presence in the society will be depicted along with its deep-rooted involvement in the novel through the conventionalduties associated withmotherhood.
