Abstract

In this work, we reviewed empirical studies about violence against women in Porto Velho, Rondonia. This research followed the narrative review method and was justified due to the persistence of high rates of violence against women in the city, even with equipment of protection and assistance services for women. We searched for studies in electronic libraries and supplemented it with other academic publications. The studies conclude that there is a high incidence of violence against women and many difficulties in the operation of the care network for women in the city. Besides improving this network, we indicate the need for its articulation with other public policies for better prevention of violence against women in the city.
