Abstract

Abstract In article number 1802880, Qingsheng Gao, Yi Tang, and co‐workers summarize the recent progress made on transition‐metal carbides as electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction. The comprehensive discussion with special emphasis on noble‐metal‐like electronic configurations and the relevant design/modulation principles is anticipated to guide the development of noble‐metal‐free catalysts.
