Abstract

Megalopsalis linnaei sp. nov. is described from the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. Though most similar to species of Monoscutidae (Opiliones) previously assigned to the Megalopsalidinae, M. linnaei lacks the significant sexual dimorphism previously regarded as characteristic of the subfamily.
