Abstract

The specimens of the electrical insulating cellulose paper made of bacterial cellulose or with the structure of which has been modified by the bacterial cellulose, were studied. It is shown that such insulating paper has a greater breakdown voltage compared to standard paper and better mechanical strength. The advantage of studied paper samples after accelerated thermal aging is most clearly seen. It is also found that the paper made of bacterial cellulose or paper with modified structure by bacterial cellulose has a greater resistance to the destructive effects of insulating liquids.
