Abstract
The article focuses on employee learning and development (L&D) programs at package delivery company United Parcel Service Inc. (UPS). It states UPS has provided formalized training courses to employees since the 1960s and had informal mentoring and coaching prior to that. It mentions in 2007 UPS started a new L&D strategy to continue its tradition of employee development while consolidating its online learning ecosystem. It comments that UPS uses both instructor-led courses and web-based training.
