Abstract
Textile colonies are the most remarkable elements in Catalonia's industrial landscape for their abundance, density and formal homogeneity. The Llobregat River, between the Pre-Pyrenees and the Pla de Bages is the backbone to the most concentrated chain of textile colonies along Catalan rivers. The main goal of this paper is to analyse this chain as an unitary system. The power of their territorial settlement could be capitalized on. This industrial landscape integrates a wide range of cultural resources and amalgamates the effort of their scattered communities to revalue the river territory.
