Abstract

Shows that the European population of Dupont's Lark Chersophilus dupont is much smaller than previously estimated. Focus of the study on the Barahona paramos, the most important Iberian area for the species; Census of the area during the 1988 breeding period using the line transect method, and in 1999 and 2000 by A. Hernandez using the same methodology and inner belt width; Other estimates of the Iberian populations of endangered pseudosteppes birds.
