Abstract

This article examines the interfaces between Information Science and the digital humanities. To do so, it takes as reference the agenda of infocommunicational phenomena, the research practices and the treatment of the ethical and social problems derived from the processes of intensification of the digitalization of the information in contemporary society. It analyzes the repercussions of these interfaces on the research agenda developed in the PhD of the Graduate Program in Information Science at UFMG (PPGCI/ UFMG) in the period 1997-2017.
