Abstract

Inside the wave of diffusion of Conditional Cash Transfer in Latin America is possible to observe the transfer of instruments of the programs from one country to another. The article develops a comparative analysis of Chile’s psychosocial support transfer to Paraguay, Colombia, and Guatemala. The dimensions of analysis are instruments, time and policy space; the information was collected from primary and secondary sources. The findings show two positive cases–the instrument was adopted–and one negative. Furthermore, it shows the relevance of the stages of the diffusion wave and the particularities of the Social Policy Space in explaining the characteristics of the transfer process.
