Abstract

The technological progress made in the CAD sector in recent years is discussed. Nevertheless, despite the considerable developments made in this sector, CAD seems to have become something of a 'black box', only to be called upon when the next cost-cutting program is to be introduced or when bottle-necks occur in production, It should rather be used to improve productivity and to reduce costs.
