Abstract
The present article is a concise review of researches addressing the links between morphological awareness and learning to read. This review points out keys aspects that morphological awareness actually contributes to learning to read (both at the level of decoding skills installation and at the level of comprehension development). However, it seems that there are different aspects of morphological awareness which are bound to decoding capacities and to comprehension capacities. Further researches must be, thus, carried out to hightlight better the respective roles of each of the components of morphological awareness. © copyright Anae.
