Abstract
The Einsteinian revolution - the building of the relativity theories - is founded on the disparition of time, replaced by isotropic space-time. I compare it with the Newtonian revolution, seen as the disparition of the vertical dimension, replaced by istropic space. I analyze the existence and relevance of some notions with temporal character in the relativistic theories; in particular proper times and durations, and causality.
