Abstract

The benefits attributed to augmented reality (AR) in the teaching of different fields of knowledge have led to the intersection of teaching and learning modalities and methods that seek to enhance the strengths of this technology applied to education. One of the approaches intertwines augmented reality with mobile learning and simulation-based learning activities. However, how to develop these applications in order to provide a learning experience is a line that continues to be built. In this article presents the development phases of a mobile augmented reality simulator, whose formulation is based on the experience of a student group using a web simulator. In addition, evaluation results of quality augmented reality objects are presented, obtaining a positive assessment in the technical aspects, use and guide, which suggests an adequate integration of augmented reality technology with the pedagogical aspects considered in the application design.
