Abstract

This article discusses the growing business relationship between the United States and Mexico, which has resulted in increased exports and foreign direct investment. This dynamic has caused Mexican entrepreneurs to start companies in the South of the United States-but do these entrepreneurs have the individual and cultural competences needed to promote the effective internationalization of their companies? To answer this question, we have conducted quantitative research through a scientifically validated survey that aims to measure these competences. Our findings demonstrate that Mexican entrepreneurs possess a high degree of global competency in the form of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and experiences which have helped them succeed in the American market.
