Relación entre morfogénesis y pedogénesis en la cuenca del río Clarillo, Región Metropolitana de Santiago, Chile

Abstract

RESUMEN El propósito del presente trabajo es determinar la relación existente entre la morfogénesis y la pedogénesis en la cuenca del río Clarillo. Por otra parte, mejorar el nivel de detalle de la geomorfología en el área de estudio, además, de clasificar los suelos existentes. El estudio se realizó entre los años 1999 y 2000, el área de estudio abarca el sector medio y bajo de la cuenca del río Clarillo. La metodología utilizada se desarrolló en tres etapas: estudio geomorfológico; estudio de suelo, en el cual se realizó análisis de las muestras obtenidas en terreno y el análisis de laborato-rio (granulometría, morfoscopía y estado superficial de las arenas). Finalmente estas características se asociaron a cada una de las unidades geomorfológicas de esta zona. De acuerdo a los resultados se observó relación entre la génesis de los materia-les de las formas del terreno y la génesis de los suelos. ABSTRACT The purpose of the present work is to determine the existing relation between the morphogenesis and the pedogenesis in the basin of the Río Clarillo. As well, it is aimed at improving the level of detail of the geomorphologic study of the area, and advancing in classifying the existent soils. The study was carried out between the years 1999 and 2000. The study area embraces the half sector and under of the basin of the Río Clarillo. The used methodology you development in three stages: (a) geomorphologic study; (b) soil study carried out via analyzing in the laboratory key elements (grain, morphosco-py and superficial state of the sands). Finally these characteristics associated were associated to each one of the geomorphological units identify in the area. According to the results a relationship was observed between the genesis of the materials and the genesis of the soils.
