Abstract

Calculations are described of equilibrium velocity distributions of photoelectrons produced in F region by solar ionizing radiation; detailed estimates are presented of intensities and altitude profiles of emission features of atomic oxygen, molecular nitrogen, and molecular oxygen, appearing in dayglow as result of photoelectron impacts.
