Abstract

“To fall in love with the problem and not with the solution” is a phrase that invites us to fully understand the client or beneficiary before focusing on establishing quick alternatives or without sufficient analysis. However, improper use within incubation or acceleration programs can result in an excess of analysis and not necessarily generate the key conditions for the success of a social enterprise. This article presents the historical antecedents of the phrase, as well as two personal reflections derived from its use, the first questions the methodological lack related to the concept and the second seeks to generate a reflection on the key elements that contribute to a successful entrepreneurship. It is expected to contribute to training processes for change agents, building competitiveness, and in the incubation of socio-environmental businesses.
